Dr. Brian Davis has served over thirty years in the PreK-12 sector as a classroom teacher, middle school counselor, elementary principal, assistant superintendent of teaching and learning, superintendent of schools, and most recently as the Associate Executive Director of Professional Learning for the Michigan Association of Superintendents and Administrators. These experiences have spanned rural, suburban, and urban communities in small to medium-sized districts.
Recognized by his peers in 2011 as the MASA Michigan Superintendent of the Year for his impact at the local level in the Holland Public Schools District, he recently retired from the local level following a thirteen year tenure as superintendent. His most recent work includes consulting with MASA at the state level supporting aspiring leaders as they navigate the pathway to school administrator certification and state endorsement. He also supports current district leaders through executive coaching and state-wide building equity efforts. He also serves as an adjunct professor in the graduate degree program of educational leadership at Western Michigan University.
